To further ensure the caliber and quantity of teens attending the CollegeBound Style Expo, the network directly mails VIP invitations to the best and brightest teens that must be validated online, as well as encouraging these students to enter the Model Student Awards which will also be held at the event. To inspire guidance counselors to bring groups of students to the event, The CollegeBound Network sponsors a Guidance Counselor Contest, whereby, the first 50 counselors who bring the most students receive two orchestra–seat Broadway show tickets. Moreover, there will be an on-going public relations and marketing campaign to recruit model student entrants and Style Expo attendees through local and national press including The CollegeBound Network’s extensive media properties including: CollegeBound Teen Magazine’s Regional editions, CollegeBound Teen Magazine National editions, and online at www.CollegeBound.net (3 million unique visitors that includes six affiliate sites and e-newsletters.)
High school students across America are active in their communities while keeping up with the demands of academic excellence. Creating positive change and providing support for their neighbors, these teens try their very best to make a difference. Now more than ever, The CollegeBound Network recognizes that these students are the true “American Idols” of today. To honor these amazing teens, The CollegeBound Network is sponsoring the CollegeBound Model Student Awards to two outstanding teens at each CollegeBound Style Expo every spring. The CollegeBound Model Student Awards is a program to further encourage teens to achieve their fullest-potential while allowing them to see first-hand the great advantages that come with their accomplishments. The CollegeBound Network will choose ten finalists– five female and five male. All ten finalists will be announced at the Style Expo, while modeling clothes provided by the Fashion Sponsor on the Expo runway. As they walk the runway, the emcee will not only describe the outfit that they are wearing, but also highlight the students’ achievements. The audience will get to vote– by ballots – for the winner. The winners – one male and one female – will receive the award, appear on the cover of our regional editions of CollegeBound Teen Magazine, will be featured in our National Edition of CollegeBound Teen Magazine wearing the clothes and college-bound gear provided by Style Expo Sponsors, and will receive cool college-bound gear.
From prom dresses and tuxedos to comfy pajamas and denims the CollegeBound Fashion Show will showcase the hottest new styles to fit all the clothing needs of college-bound high school seniors, making it a major attraction for the event. The fashion shows are broken up into segments displaying pajamas, formal, athletic, and casual clothes.

CollegeBound Network has strong relationships with 7,000 high
schools and youth organizations nationwide that subscribe to receive
over 1.6 million CollegeBound Teen Magazines annually. It’s
this long-standing relationship with guidance counselors and college-bound
teens that brings thousands of brand-savvy VIP students to the
CollegeBound Style Expo. These VIP teens are – the “Best
and Brightest” students – class officers, valedictorians,
high school newspaper reporters, yearbook editors, athletes, active
volunteers, and other involved students.
