Admit it: You love to write on a fresh page of
a new notebook with your fresh-ink ballpoint pen
just to get used to the idea of school being back
in session, right? I can't deny the 'pen-on-pad'
feeling myself. In fact, I know the night before
school starts, I'll sit snug in my bedroom with
pen in hand to write my name over and over again.
When school actually opens its doors, I never
want to write in that notebook again!
Know the feeling? If so, here's a round-up of
some groovy new back-to-school products that'll
ease the pain of returning to class, and up your
"love-my supplies" enthusiasm.
Gotta' pen?
How about Gel Works pens by Avery?
They come in an array of colors, including Purple
Haze and Pimento. With a rubber grip, your over-worked
video game hands won't suffer much stress. Gel
Works cost $6.49 per pack; available at Wal-Mart,
Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples.
Can't get enough gel in your life?
Gelly Roll pens, like Gel Works', also
come in an array of colors, including a new Stardust
line that's so shimmery, they reflect light. Gelly
Roll pens cost $1.69 each; available at K-Mart,
H-E-B, Michaels Arts and Crafts, Staples, Target,
and Wal-Mart.
Take that pen and... write on this!
I learned from my freshman orientation class that
it's beneficial to review your class notes and
make additional notes after reading the
textbook, of course. Now, you'll have the margins
to do it, thanks to Mead's new Five Star Quick
Notes Notebook. It features extra-wide, highlighted
margins, perfect for putting this study-tip into
action. Also new from the Five Star line is the
Subject Specific Notebook, available for
math, science, and English (it even contains teacher-recommended
references!).
Get a hold of your stuff!
Keep your notes nice and neat in positively cool
portfolios from Tech Deck. With themes
like Alien Workshop and Birdhouse, these porfolios
are essential for the punky scholar to the unique
brainiac. Available at techdeck.com.
Now that you're in the know about back-to-school
supplies, shopping should be a cinch -- especially
since you know what to buy, how much it costs,
and where to go. Now... get going!
