We cater to a maximum of 12 students during each program. This makes our Insight and Gap programs personalized. We help support other local business such as other dog mushers, equine, and wildlife rehabilitation centers. We are not government funded in any way shape or form; this is a family business.

ISES contracts the non-profit organization Cushing Nature Foundation (CNF) for educational purposes. ISES and CNF work in partnership with all wildlife rehabilitation and conservation efforts. This unique aspect of our programs provides students with rare opportunities to care for wild-orphaned critters.

Our programs offer students unique and lifetime opportunities to connect with people, animals and the natural environment. Our 500-acre outdoor classroom includes a private 50-acre lake, marshlands, meadows, forests, and rolling hills. Our campus gives students the perfect chance to study and develop new life skills and certifications while being in a family environment.

We are flexible and constantly adapting to group dynamics. We encourage students to come with open minds in order to contribute and make your stay a memorable ISES experience. Our students feel as comfortable here as they do at home.

Fees Include:
Return shuttle service for student from Ottawa.
All expenses related to student's enrollment in the International School for Earth Studies, including animal husbandry sessions, nature discovery sessions, out-trips, counseling sessions, facilitated workshops, room and board.

Fees Exclude:
Personal equipment / clothing as outlined in the Enrollment Package.
Fees related to GED options, accredited high school or college level courses are additional.

Payment:
A refundable $2,000 deposit is required to confirm student admission.
Balance of payment for introductory program In-Sight Quest For Teens is due upon arrival of participant on-site, unless arrangements have been made prior to date of admission.
Monthly school tuition must be paid in full at the beginning of every month.
Deposit and/or balance payment(s) can be made by Certified Check, Money Order, VISA or International Bank transfer deposit.

Refunds:
In the event of termination of a student's participation at the International School for Earth Studies a refund will be given for the number of pre-paid days the student does not participate in the program.
Student(s) / Parent(s) / Guardian(s) are protected under the Québec Consumer Protection Act, S.195 regarding deposits and refunds.

Students improve life skills, nature discovery and awareness building in our unique outdoor classrooms. Gap students get the full ISES experience and gain post-secondary practice in earth, aboriginal and animal husbandry studies.

This condensed program focuses on helping students develop skills associated with leadership dynamics, and stewardship for the planet based on social and ecological sustainability.

This is ideal preparatory training for young adults wishing to pursue environmental employment opportunities. Students plan and develop their résumé for future endeavors.

This is a perfect opportunity to gain work experience that focuses on outdoors education with youth, wildlife rehabilitation and expedition guiding. Interns looking for experience in dog sled management, tourism management, and facility construction can find their niche within this program.
