Ready to hit the books? Illinois has a little something for everyone so considering attending one of the
Illinois colleges is a smart idea. If you love the big city and all it has to offer, then Chicago, the nation's third largest city and home of deep-dish pizza, is for you. Architectural buffs will appreciate a ride to the 103 rd-floor Sears Tower Skydeck, the second tallest building in the world. And aspiring culinary artists can sample the best at the Taste of Chicago, an event featuring food from the area's top chefs.

The educational opportunities in the Windy City will blow you away should you attend one of the many Illinois universities. You'll be studying with the best, with access to the Chicago Public Library, whose collection of more than two million books makes it the world's largest public library. And what better place to study than at one of the universities in Illinois with such a rich presidential history? Illinois is known as the " Land of Lincoln" because 16 th President Abraham Lincoln himself grew up there. In addition, Ronald Reagan, the 40th President, was born in Tampico, Illinois.

Not a fan of big cities and skyscrapers? You can still look into attending one of the Illinois universities in one of the rural areas. Why not check out one of the universities in Illinois' central region, an area of rolling hills, prairies, and agriculture. Or there's always universities in Illinois' southern region, which offers a warmer climate, cotton farming, coal mining, and industrialization. There's never a dull moment in Illinois universities, since the state's known for its wide variety of weather. Heat and cold waves are commonplace in a state that offers endless options.
