Fueling a College Cram Session
by Dawn Papandrea
The survey results are in, and healthy choices are not in most college students' vocabularies when it comes to pressure situations and
cram session
snacking. In fact, according to a survey by The Princeton Review of over 1,000 students from more than 150 college campuses, caffeine is king! Most respondents agreed that coffee, tea, soda, or energy drinks like Red Bull were what they turned to during an all-nighter.
On the snack side, potato chips and chocolate were favorite choices for cram session snacking, with only eight percent of students opting for healthier snacks like fruit and nuts. Even scarier, students said they slept an average of three hours less per night during an exam week. Shame, shame!
