College Extra Curriculars That Are Literally the Coolest

by Gina LaGuardia
That's the scenario for many students at Champlain College (Burlington, VT). "This is both a ski town and a college town," explains Nicole Osakowicz, a multimedia and graphic design major at the school. "We can ride in the morning, and go to class in the afternoon. It provides a great balance for us snowboard --obsessed youth."

We'd say! With an annual average of 18 inches of snow, six nearby snowboarding/skiing areas, and $5 van rides to local mountains, the school makes everyday extra curriculars fun, and new meaning to the words "snow day" and "college ski town!"

If you're really into skiing and snowboarding, check out the University of Utah. There are seven world-class mountain resorts all within 45 minutes of campus. These mountains dwarf anything out east, and they receive 500 inches of powder a year. To find out more, check out http://Ski.Utah.Edu.
