Celebrities and College

by Ysolt Usigan
High School Do--Overs
If ERIC DILL from The Click Five could do high school over, he'd "play more shows in my high school band." Patrick Stump of Fall Out BoY would have tried harder: "I would have paid more attention and done better. I also would've realized that once you get out of high school, it's over ... too many people in high school focus on what's going on there and it's not [like that] for the rest of your life. If you're a nerd or outsider in high school, you're not going to be that way forever."

College Do--Overs
"I've always wanted to write," explains JAMES FRANCO, "Annapolis" star. "I went to UCLA for a year as a literature Major." After his acting took off, he withdrew from school, but yearns for the classroom. "It's always been something I want to do. I'm trying to find my way back [to school] and finish. I'm doing it in small steps. I'm taking classes here and there."

Ashanti's Not--So--A+ Surprise
"Starting out, I was the type of student who wasn't too enthused with school - I'd just get by. And one year, I was accidentally sent the wrong report card and it was all A's! And I thought, 'Oh man, I killed it this year!' But when I looked closer, it wasn't mine - it was someone else's," admits ASHANTI, who recently signed as the face of Delicious Curves by Mudd. "That's when education became really important to me. I realized that if that other person could get straight A's, so could I. I wound up graduating with a 3.8."

Late Registration? Not If You Persevere
KANYE WEST is filled with advice, specifically this: "Never stop persevering, and learn from your mistakes. Be thankful for everything that happens to you because it's a lesson that God is giving you. It's something he is telling you to make you stronger for the future."

Class Clown With Smarts
It's no surprise that SETH GREEN remembers high school as funny and embarrassing. "I was humiliated on a daily basis until I decided to stop trying to fit in and start concentrating on my grades. I almost failed ninth grade, but my vice principal gave me a second shot. From the 10th--12th grades, I made the honor roll."
