Belle of the Ball
To show off their artistic talent in drama, music, art, design, and architecture, students at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts host a Beaux Arts Ball, a tradition at the school since 1911. The idea was borrowed from balls held in Paris, France, during the 17th century. In addition to elaborate costumes and decorations, students showcase their artwork at the gala.
