Our Programs |
| |
|
Holistic Massage
The Holistic Massage Career Program is an inspirational program for those desiring a practice that addresses the whole person. You learn an in-depth study of the physical body as well as the relationship between the body, mind, emotions, and life force.
|
Therapeutic Massage
The Therapeutic Massage Career Program is designed for those who would like to focus more on the physical aspects of massage in preparation for working in clinical and athletically oriented situations. The focus on the holistic approach is still present but the emphasis is on working with injury recovery and repetitive stress injury prevention.
|
Polarity Therapy
Developed in 1940-1980 by Doctor Randolph Stone, a Chiropractor and Osteopath who searched the world over to find what prevented people from healing. Using concepts from the new field of Quantum Physics that recognized energy as the building blocks of matter and finding the energy based healing modalities including Chinese medicine and Ayurvedic from India, he created the break through model known as Polarity Therapy. Polarity Therapy includes energetically based bodywork, thoughts/beliefs, exercises, and nutritional understanding.
|
Esthetics
Skin care and esthetics is an essential skill for all successful spa and salon professionals as well as a wonderful addition for massage and polarity therapists to add to their practices. Our holistic skin care and esthetics programs, designed by Peggy York, are a unique approach based on her years of training as a cosmetologist, aesthetician, massage and polarity therapist and RYSE® practitioner. The program utilizes the holistic concept of Human Haptics or conscious touch along with learning to evaluate and customize your treatments for everyone you work on.
Important Note on Lasers: The states of Massachusetts and Maine do not allow Esthetics schools to teach lasers.
|
Cosmetology
The most important difference is the quality of our instructors. Through years of dedicated mentoring by Teresa Favazza, one of the leading stylists in the northeast, the teachers at the institute embody the principles of perfection of technique that you need to become a successful professional. The use of the Pivot Point educational system has been refined and utilized through years of experience and attention to educational quality as taught in our unique curriculum.

Cosmetology Teacher Training
Teaching is a gift. It's a tremendous opportunity to take your own work to the next level as well as help others to get a good start in a field they love. It also gives the professional cosmetologist an alternative income source that is not as physically demanding as working on clients exclusively. The teacher training gives you a chance to bring your work to another level as well as participate in a stimulating environment with peers. You will learn not only advanced techniques about cosmetology but also communications and teaching skills that are useful in all areas of life.
