COURSE OUTLINE
Course title: Cosmetology/Hairstyling (1200 hours)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Cosmetology/Hairstyling program is to train students in theory and practical experiences, which will prepare them for entry level employment opportunities. The course is geared towards developing good work habits and attitudes with respect to safety & sanitation, business ethics, and encourages self reliance, and a willingness to help others look their best.
COURSE GOALS:
1. Students will receive training in both theory and practical subjects and gain knowledge in all phases of Cosmetology/Hairstyling.
2. To prepare students to successfully pass the New Jersey State Board Examinations.
3. To prepare students to work in a professional salon or Cosmetology related occupations.
4. To develop employer/employee relationships and effective communication skills.
COURSE OUTLINE
Course title: Manicuring 300 Hours
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Cosmetology/Hairstyling program is to train students in theory and practical experiences, which will prepare them to successfully pass the New Jersey State Board Manicuring Examination, and establish them for entry level employment opportunities, or as they choose to use the knowledge as a vehicle for self-improvement and personal grooming. The course is geared towards developing good work habits and attitudes with respect to safety & sanitation, business ethics, and encourages self reliance, and a willingness to help others look their best.
COURSE GOALS:
1. Students will receive training in both theory and practical subjects and gain knowledge necessary to perform manicuring and pedicuring services.
2. To prepare students to successfully pass the New Jersey State Board Manicurists Examinations.
3. To prepare students to work in a professional salon.
4. To develop good work habits and business ethics with an emphasis on safety & sanitation.

Course title: Skin Care 600 Hours
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The objective of the Skin Care program is to train students in theory and practical experiences, which will prepare them for entry level employment positions. The course is geared towards developing good work habits and attitudes with respect to safety & sanitation, business ethics, and encourages self reliance, and a willingness to help others look their personal best.
COURSE GOALS:
1. Students will receive training in both theory and practical subjects and gain knowledge in all phases of Skin Care.
2. To prepare students to successfully pass the New Jersey State Board Examinations.
3. To prepare students to work in a professional salon or related field.
4. To develop employer/employee relationships and effective communications.
