PROGRAMS:

AUDIO RECORDING TECHNOLOGY CONCENTRATION


This concentration is associated with the Bachelor in Music and Business Management. Students will have the opportunity to learn audio recording in our four state-of-the-art studios, including analog and digital recording, MIDI, SSL 9000J and Recording Board. Internships are required for the program.

FILM & VIDEO


The Film/Video Program is designed to provide students enrolled for a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with the knowledge and technical expertise required to succeed in the wide range of career paths this interesting and expanding field has to offer.

JAZZ & COMMERICIAL MUSIC


The Bachelor of Music (Mus. B) degree program in Jazz/Commercial Music offers concentrations in Performance, Composition/Songwriting, Musical Theatre, Audio Recording Technology, and Music Business. It is designed for students planning to pursue careers as professional performers, composers, recording engineers, music business executives, or producers of video music.

MUSIC BUSINESS CONCENTRATION


This concentration is associated with the Business Management program and features coursework in Recording Promotions, Music Publishing, Contracts, Artist Management, and many other areas related to the field of Music & Entertainment Business.

MASS COMMUNICATION


The Mass Communication Program that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) is designed for students interested in a career in the fields of broadcasting, journalism, or media management. The program deals with the principles, laws and historical background of the professions associated with mass communication and is designed to improve oral, written and critical thinking skills. Selected practicums and internships provide students with the on-site professional training and experience necessary to pursue a media related career.

MUSIC EDUCATION


The Music Education Program is designed for students interested in careers as teachers of music in a public or private school (K-12). The program leads to New York State Certification and provides professional training and a student teaching experience in a public school district.

THEATRE ARTS


The Theatre Arts Program is designed for students interested in a career in the performing arts field as actors, entertainers, directors, stage managers, lighting or sound technicians, or any other related aspect of the dynamic and rapidly expanding entertainment industry.
