The program
Lasting approximately 18 months, a Specialized Associate Degree in Fashion Design and Technology offers 90 quarter credits that spotlight both general education and fashion courses.
What you'll learn
Our Specialized Associate Degree provides a fundamental grounding in fashion design and technology, including an introduction to design theory, fashion history, and apparel production. While course requirements vary for a passing grade, in general, students are required to take a midterm and final, complete homework assignments, and demonstrate proficiency in apparel design.
The elective track in Costume Design
Students may choose to take this elective track at the time of enrollment or at the beginning of the second year. Second year courses will be replaced with the following courses in Costume Design.
