The Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) program provides students with the entry-level skills necessary to work as Field Service Technicians for Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration; Facilities; or Plant Maintenance. Other related fields include Equipment Installation, Project Management, Union Apprenticeship, Equipment Sales and Marketing, System Design, Indoor Air Quality, Energy Management, Direct Digital Controls, and Integrated Technical Professional, and more.

Brownson Technical School was founded in 1984 and has been accredited since 1987. In addition, course/program approval has been granted from the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and is renewed annually.
