The Art Institute of Washington - Northern Virginia is located in Sterling, VA, situated in the northeast section of Loudon County. More than 10 institutions of higher education are located here along Virginia's Route 7. Sterling is also a popular residentialn area for Washington, DC commuters and rich in history dating back to the mid-1600's.
