American Institute of Holistic Theology offers nonsectarian college degree programs through distance learning. You can learn how to practice as a holistic health counselor or become a minister/practitioner of health and healing. All of our programs offer comprehensive courses in the legal and administrative aspects of building and maintaining a counseling practice. Independent, self-paced programs give you a chance to direct your own learning within guidelines developed by holistic health and religious science professionals.
AIHT offers the following degrees:
Holistic Theology — B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
Theology encompasses a vast philosophical sphere of various religious approaches, denominations and sects. Yet theology is not a study of religion, per se, but rather the study of God. So for those who wish to study God within a more “open-ended” context than the finite scope of religion, AIHT now offers three degree programs in holistic theology.
The new coursework helps form a powerful interconnection that deepens students' theological knowledge, understanding and discernment. Holistic Theology graduates bring forth precious truths of wholeness and holism into the world.
Emphasizing holistic teachings that support an innovative balance of each and all parts, the integration of many interdependent approaches is intended to create and support a knowledge base that far exceeds the sum of its parts.
In this light, Holistic Theology becomes the whole study of God. All-encompassing and encircling, rather than isolating or differentiating. Its intention is to help students develop and blend their own vision of unity within diversity.
Holistic Health — B.S., M.S., P.H.D.
AIHT's Holistic Health program is designed to acquaint students with the gifts of Divine, no-limits healing that each of us possess, enabling the individual to pass those principles on to others. These invigorating teachings include bachelors, masters, and doctoral degree programs, with intriguing course work ranging from nutrition and herbology to dreams and shamanic journeys.
As with all AIHT disciplines, these degree programs help prepare each student to pursue his or her legal ordination, should the student choose a career path as a minister or counselor of health and healing.
Holistic Ministries — B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
Our
philosophy of body/mind/spirit empowers students to value and trust
their own experiences and perceptions as an accurate foundation for
their own reality.
By natural extension, these techniques also enable the student
to effectively counsel others in methods of making healthy choices as
well as mending past pain — in areas as diverse as logic, motivation,
ethics and moral growth. Course work includes an introduction to
spirituality, plus advanced courses in holistic lifestyles and
psyche/psychology, among others.
As with all AIHT disciplines, these degree programs
help prepare each student to pursue his or her legal ordination, should
the student choose a career path as a minister or counselor of health
and healing.
Metaphysics — B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
AIHT's
three distance-learning programs in Metaphysics are each designed to
help students answer the cosmic scientific question, "What's it all
about?" Metaphysical training seeks to explain, from the beginning, the
nature of being; thus, its practicioners can often serve the dual role
of counselor / healer.
Metaphysics espouses a holism that's greater than the sum of all parts,
in applying the intellect of psychology with the emotion of
spirituality. Course work includes dream interpretation, mind power,
spirituality / personal transformation, and financial success.
As with all AIHT disciplines, each degree program
helps prepare each student to pursue his or her legal ordination,
should the student choose a career path as a minister or counselor of
health and healing.
Parapsychic Science — B.S., M.S., Ph.D.
With three distance-learning programs in Parapsychic Science, AIHT helps students cultivate a spiritual appreciation of the ethereal as well as that which is considered "real."
AIHT Parapsychic Science courses include regression therapy,
chakras/auras, channeling, and magnetic, vibrational and quantum
healing, among others. Parapsychic Science investigates the blending of
contemporary science, philosophy and religion, all of which contribute
to a single universal understanding and a deeper knowledge of mankind.
As with all American Institute of Holistic Theology disciplines, these degree programs help prepare each student to pursue his or her legal ordination, should the student choose a career path as a minister or counselor of health and healing.
What is Holistic Theology?
As old as humanity itself is the divine gift of human potential: to connect, tap into and realize the perfect harmony within mind, body and spirit. This holistic philosophy is "the space between the notes," in that it bridges gaps between tangible facts, ethical analysis, and intuitive wisdom of the laws of life. It also forms a continuum between here and now and the hereafter.
Theology, the study of God's divine law, is a science that affects the health of humanity. Conscious awareness puts the human spirit in harmony with the flow of universal energy. This consciousness grows from the ability to experience and learn, to express and convey divinity in our dealings with others.
