Winona State University is a public university comprised of three campuses, two of them in Winona and one in Rochester, Minnesota.

Located in the Mississippi River Valley, Winona State University offers students a stunning residential campus as well as numerous academic and community outreach opportunities. Students at Winona State University devote a combined effort of 15,000 hours a year to youth mentoring programs, among other things. They can choose from a wide variety of academic programs, including accounting, business, criminal justice, education, art, music, mass communications, social work, engineering, and computer science.

Faith-based clubs, Greek societies, intramural and competitive sports, various academic clubs such as the Sign Language Club, Journalism/Photojournalism Club, and Nursing Club, and a number of Special Interest Groups like Amnesty International and Big Brothers, Big Sisters are all open to students at Winona State University.
