The University of Sioux Falls was founded in 1883 in Dakota Territory. It is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches-USA and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. The University of Sioux Falls is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the education, business and social work programs are accredited by the appropriate professional agencies. The University of Sioux Falls has over 30 majors as well as graduate programs in education and business administration. Approximately 1400 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled.
