With origins that trace back to the Normal School at Duluth in 1895, the University of Minnesota Duluth has developed into a comprehensive regional university. From its first days occupying the Duluth State Teachers College (the Normal School at Duluth's new designation as of 1921), to its current 244-acre campus that overlooks Lake Superior, this Minnesota college had continued to grow.
Today, the University of Minnesota Duluth occupies over 50 buildings that in turn serve a student body of over 11,000. From undergraduate and graduate, to professional and non-degree students, this Minnesota college has programs that appeal to most any student. In fact, undergrads can select from 12 bachelor's degrees in 75 majors, while grad students are offered programs in nearly two dozen different fields. The University of Minnesota Duluth also offers a two-year program at the School of Medicine and a College of Pharmacy program. |
