On the University of Idaho's opening day in October of 1892, the school welcomed only 40 students and a faculty of one. Today, however, this state university educates over 11,000 students who hail not only hail from all over the country, but from 78 nations throughout the world, as well. In fact, compared to the four degrees granted to the first graduating class, the University of Idaho has now awarded over 80,000 degrees.
As part of its commitment to higher education, this Idaho college offers a wide array of degree programs. In addition to the 10 colleges that comprise the University of Idaho - and the more than 140 undergraduate programs that range from architecture and computer science, to law and the geological sciences - the school also offers master's, Ph. D., juris doctorate, and specialists degrees. Certificates of completion are also offered in 16 different areas. |
