Temple University, of the Commonwealth System of Higher Education, is a comprehensive public research university with more than 34,000 students. This Pennsylvania college has a distinguished faculty in 17 schools and colleges, including schools of Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Podiatry, and Dentistry, as well as a renowned Health Sciences Center. There are three public research universities in Pennsylvania. Temple University is a public research university along with the University of Pittsburgh and Penn State University.
