Founded in 1899, Tarleton State University was originally a small private Texas college. Since that time, the school has grown into what is now a bustling state university with almost 8,000 students enrolled. To meet the needs of this growing student population, the school includes a main campus in Stephenville, Texas, as well as locations in Killeen, Granbury, Fort Worth, and Thurber.
Providing higher education to the residents of Central Texas, Tarleton State University has consistently strived towards excellence. Although it was once designated as a junior college by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the school is now considered a university thanks to its expanded course offerings, which include undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a variety of fields. In fact, this Texas college is currently comprised of six separate colleges, each of which is devoted to a different area of study. From the College of Liberal and Fine Arts, and the College of Education, to the College of Science and Technology, and the College of Business Administration, there's sure to be a school to meet most anyone's needs. |
