Established in 1953, Macomb Community College is has a long-running history of educational excellence and has always been committed to the continual improvement of teaching and learning. The school offers nearly 200 options for degree and certificates and almost 40 bachelor's degree completion and master's degree programs at its University Center. Career preparation programs are also offered within the school's curriculum.

Students enjoy state of the art facilities, like the nearly renovated Sports & Expo Center on South Campus. The only expo space in Macomb County, the 61,000 square foot facility meets the needs of the physical education and athletic programs, as well as events and shows that reach more than 100,000 community members each year. The school's Performing Arts Center provides students with a variety of cultural arts experiences to nearly 260,000 people annually.
