Jackson State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the bachelor's, master's education specialist, Doctor of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Jackson State University has seven undergraduate academic schools: Allied Health Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Science and Technology, and Social Work.
