Welcome to George Mason University. Our prime location just outside Washington, DC makes George Mason University the destination for students from all over the world. Mason features Nobel laureate faculty members, Division I sports teams, a technologically advanced campus, and an outstanding extracurricular life for our students.
George Mason University has locations in three counties: Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William. The university began offering courses in Loudoun County in 2005. While each campus has a distinctive academic focus, the Fairfax Campus offers the majority of courses and is the only location that offers resident housing. Enrollment at Mason is nearly 29,000.
As the largest of all Virginia colleges, George Mason University offers all the experiences of a large college campus, yet embodies a community approach as we work closely with our students both inside and outside the classroom.
George Mason University responds to the call for excellence in interdisciplinary research and teaching, not simply by adding programs, but by rethinking the traditional structure of the academy. |
