Founded in 1889 by the United Church of Christ, Elon University has grown into a private university that offers liberal arts and science courses, as well as a variety of professional programs. With over 45 majors to choose from, this North Carolina college is comprised of six smaller schools, each of which is dedicated to a distinct field or industry.
At the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, for example, students can choose to enroll in a bachelor's degree program in accounting, economics, or business administration. Students who attend the School of Communications, meanwhile, can choose to receive a degree in journalism, corporate communications, cinema, or broadcast and new media.
