Established in 1963 as Ohio's first community college, Cuyahoga Community College aims to provide its students with a top quality, affordable education. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Cuyahoga Community College is committed to the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), which ensures that the college will strive to continuously improve the quality of its educational programs and opportunities.
Although it began as a fairly small school, Cuyahoga Community College now boasts three traditional campuses, two Corporate College locations, over 50 off-campus sites, and numerous online learning opportunities. Known as Tri-C, Cuyahoga Community College offers associate degrees, certificate programs, and the first two years of a bachelor's degree. More than 70 career, certificate, and university transfer programs, as well as around 80 off-campus credit courses, and over 500 non-credit workforce and professional development courses are available to those attending Cuyahoga Community College.
In addition to excellent academic programs, Cuyahoga Community College students are also privy to the numerous college-sponsored cultural, community, and sports programs and events that take place on campus throughout the academic year. Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland is one of the nation's most widely renowned educational jazz festivals, and is held at Cuyahoga Community College. |
