Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences is a professional school for the health sciences located in Canton, Ohio. The history of Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences dates back to more than 100 years when in 1890, Elizabeth Harter, the daughter of a wealthy manufacturer and banker, donated 4.5 acres of land to the Aultman Hospital Association. Anticipating the need for professionally trained nurses, the hospital opened the school of nursing. The school received state approval in 1916 and since that time, the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences has graduated thousands of nurses and health care professionals.

Students at Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences receive a two-year associate degree in Science in Nursing and pre-licensure. Students at the college must complete a minimum of two semesters in residency, which includes 20 nursing course credits and 8 general education credits. Prior to graduation, students must have a total of 73 credit hours, 32 of which are nursing credits and 41 general education credits. The course of study includes the following: 4-credits each of microbiology; anatomy and physiology I & II; general, organic and biochemistry I and II; three credits each of reading and writing connections; and algebra I; two credits each of nursing skills lab I and II; and professional role developments. Students must also complete: nursing management I, II and III (14 credits); clinical reasoning I and II (2 credits) and nursing management V (10 credits). Three credits for each of the following classes will be awarded in: introduction to economics; bioethics; psychology of adjustment; human development and social problems.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences must be a high school graduate or have a GED and must have had a GPA of no less than 3.0 and a SAT score of 940 or SAT score of 20; a college GPA of no less than 2.5 and students must have already completed classes in algebra; chemistry and English. Students will also be required to take English, math and reading proficiency exams. Students must also be certified in CPR from the American Heart Association.
