Students at the Canadian college study a wide range of subjects from nutrition to microbiology and endocrinology to ethics and neurology. The practical curriculum includes biomechanics, massage techniques, theory and principles of massage, treatment application and assessment, and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction.
 
In July 2003, the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage entered into a credit transfer agreement with the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. Under the agreement, students who complete the 18-month program at the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage will have the opportunity to enter the program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree at UNB, with two years of transfer credit. This will enable the students to obtain a BScKin degree after two more years of study.
