Students can expect to receive opportunities on a global scale at Asnuntuck Community College. In addition to the main campus, Asnuntuck also supports a sister technical college, Qingdao Vocational and Technical College based in China's Shandong Province. New in 2007, the partnership should open the door for both student and faculty exchange programs.

Asnuntuck Community College also prides itself on providing educational opportunities everyone can afford. Those going into the field of Manufacturing Technology are particularly in luck. Thanks to community partnerships, local companies currently sponsor 30, $4,000 (the equivalent of one full year's tuition) scholarships. In addition to receiving the dough, Manufacturing Technology scholarship recipients will also receive a paid part-time position with their sponsor, typically worth an additional $4,000 - $5,000.

Asnuntuck Community College supports an active campus environment. Each year the school hosts artistic and cultural events to all enrollees. Last year's line-up of events included the Eighth Annual Freshwater Poetry Festival, a screening of "An Inconvenient Truth," a performance by the Tufts University all-male a cappella group The Beelzebubs, and a roundtable "One Book, One Discussion" seminar.

Students here will receive the support they need to succeed. The on campus Academic Skills Center provides one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions, online tutoring, computer resources, and study guides. Additional support services include academic advising, financial aid counseling, disability support, career counseling, job search help, and skills assessment testing.
