From its New York and Brooklyn locations, the ASA Institute offers high-quality, career-oriented certification and Associate degree programs that respond to the needs of both students and employers. ASA offers both Associate of Occupational Studies and Associate in Applied Science degree programs in Business, Health Disciplines, Criminal Justice, and Computer Technology. ASA is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and authorized by the New York State Board of Regents to confer the Associate of Occupational Studies and the Associate in Applied Science degrees. Their degree and certificate programs are registered with the State Education Department.

The school works to deliver an integrated educational experience that is student-centered and incorporates professional skills, general education, and career-focused knowledge and expertise. They offer career services from a student's first day at ASA including: career counseling, career-related seminars and events, Lifetime Placement Assistance for all graduates, job fair, resume reviews, and interviewing workshops. Students also benefit from the freshmen skills seminar and a guaranteed externship to help prepare for an individual's desired career.

The school offers continuing education courses in Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN), Phlebotomy, Electrocardiogram (EKG), Security Guard Training, and Taxation. They also offer distance learning opportunities and intensive English study courses. adults who have not yet earned a high school degree or its equivalent may be eligible for the "Ability to Benefit" (ATB) designation. ATB candidates must be at least 19 years of age at the time they apply and provide evidence that they've been out of school for at least one year or that their high school class has graduated.

  • Every ASA student studying for an Associate Degree must complete one unpaid externship for academic credit.
