Wofford College, established in 1854 is a four-year institution offering academic programs in a diverse range of areas. Some unique undergraduate programs include latin american, caribbean studies, military science and 19th century studies.

Wofford College is rated in "Barron's Best Buys in College Education" and "Fiske Guide to Colleges" as 'among their top values in independent higher education.'

Wofford College is located in historic Spartanburgh, South Carolina. The 170-acre scenic campus offers numerous state of the art facilities including more than 47 buildings. Some of the facilities students can take advantage of are the Sandor Teszler Library which includes roughly 300,000 items, including books, journals, artifacts and more.

The Sandor Teszler Library was named as one of the "Outstanding Buildings of the Year" by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Others include The Martha Cloud Chapman Gallery and the Campus Life Building.

The Wofford College's Study Abroad program, is a highlight of the college and had been ranked in the top 12 nationally in its classification. Over 80 percent of undergraduate at Wofford earned academic credit abroad, according to the 2007 Open Doors Survey.

Roughly 95 students studied abroad for a semester or more during the 2007-08 year. Students can choose from more than 136 site in more than 58 countries including Spain, The Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, Ireland, Italy and more.

Wofford also offers a diverse range of extracurricular activities and athletics on campus for students. Wofford College offers more than 17 intercollegiate teams in the NCAA Division I. varsity sports are offered for both men and women. Some include, baseball, soccer golf and others. Numerous student clubs are offered from academic and professional areas to performing arts to special interest.
