Valencia Community College has four campuses and two centers in the Orlando area. It is the third largest of Florida's 28 community colleges, teaching more than 50,000 students a year. Valencia Community College offers the Associate in Arts degree, 40 AA pre-majors, and more than 80 Associate in Science and Applied Science degree and certificate programs which lead to immediate entry into the workforce. Valencia Community College is the third largest of Florida's 28 community colleges in both annual headcount and FTE enrollments. Among Florida colleges alone, Valencia Community College graduates more Hispanics and Asian Americans than any other two-year school in the state. The job placement rate for Valencia Community College A.S. graduates is 90 percent. Valencia Community College's Honors Program regularly attracts students with SAT scores of 1,400 or better. The University of Florida designated Valencia's as the best two-year honors program among all Florida colleges. Honors graduates often receive full scholarships to attend highly-ranked, baccalaureate degree-granting colleges and universities. The fine-arts faculty at Valencia Community College was called "one of the best faculties in the region" by the Orlando Sentinel. Director Steven Spielberg has called Valencia Community College's film program one of the best anywhere. Over 20 feature film projects have been completed since the inception of the film program in 1990. Many of the college's film projects have come out of its "Filmmaker in Residence" program, which brings in talented directors, producers, cinematographers, and writers to work alongside film students. Two of the creators of The Blair Witch Project are Valencia graduates: producer Gregg Hale and production designer Ben Rock.
