Valdosta Technical College, a unit of the Technical College system of Georgia, provides technical instruction on an open enrollment basis. The main campus occupies 123 acres and over 178,000 square feet of land in north Lowndes County. Valdosta Technical College also utilizes the Cook County Center, a satellite center housed in a new 14,000 square foot building on five acres between Adel and Sparks, Georgia.
There are more than 4,000 students pursuing 135 programs that are available during the day, in the evening, and online. The Georgia technical college has 144 full-time and 159 part-time faculty and staff members.
Valdosta Technical College coursework leads to associate of applied science degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates of credit in business, computer, health, industrial, natural resources, and personal services fields. Valdosta Technical College also offers workforce training for new and existing industries; professional and personal-development continuing education; and programs and services designed to assist adults in reaching literacy and GED goals.
