Saint Anthony College of Nursing a private Catholic College located in Rockford, Illinois. For over 90 years, Saint Anthony College of Nursing has been training nurses to enter the medical field. The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis in Peoria, Illinois established the Saint Anthony College of Nursing in 1915.
A diploma-granting school until 1990, the Saint Anthony College of Nursing became a baccalaureate granting school. The school has cooperative agreements with several community colleges in Illinois to transfer the first two years (approximately 64 hours) to Saint Anthony College of Nursing for the remainder of a nursing baccalaureate education.
In 2006, the school added a Master of Science in nursing to its curriculum. The program is aimed at nurse educators, clinical nurse leaders and clinical nurse specialists and is designed for part-time students who can complete the program within three years.
One of the goals of the school is to incorporate the Christian way of life into a students personal life, as well as understanding how that philosophy is woven into ones professional life as a nurse. The school is open to all denominations and faiths. Catholic masses are offered at the opening of each semester and a baccalaureate mass is offered at the campus chapel at the end of the school year. Masses are also offered weekly at the chapel.
There are no residences on campus, but the director of students services can assist students in finding off campus housing, which includes apartments or houses for rent, rooms for rent, offerings by local alumni and assistance in finding roommates.

There are many arts and entertainment venues in Rockford. The Rockford MetroCentre and the Coronado Theatre offer sporting events, theatrical plays, concerts and other entertainment.
Upon admission to the Saint Anthony College of Nursing, students may join the National Student Nurses' Association. Saint Anthony College of Nursing is home to the local chapter.
The Center for Sports Medicine and Health and Fitness offers many programs to help students stay fit and healthy. The center offers wellness courses to help students manage stress. Courses are also available for smoking cessation and weight loss.
There are over 20 faculty members at Saint Anthony College of Nursing.
The Sister Mary Linus Learning Resource Center on campus has a wide variety of printed materials, including research journals. The center also has access to many electronic and online resources.
Saint Anthony's College of Nursing is located on the campus of OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center.
