Saginaw Valley State University, founded in 1963, is the newest of Michigan's 15 state institutions.
There are more than 9,500 undergraduate and graduate students at Saginaw Valley State University. The student to faculty ratio is 20 to one. There are more than 250 full-time faculty members and 84 percent hold a Ph.D. Students can choose coursework from five departments including: arts and behavioral sciences; business and management; science, engineering and technology; education; and health and human services.
Graduate students at SVSU can pursue degrees that include: Master's of Business Administration; Master's of Science in Nursing; Master's of Arts Instruction Technology; and Master's of Education.
