Sacramento City College
3835 Freeport Boulevard
Sacramento, CA 95822
As a two-year institution of higher learning, Sacramento City College has been dedicated to providing its student body with the training, education, and opportunities they need to succeed in the future since its founding days in 1916. As part of its mission to do so, the California community college offers a variety of programs that cover a wide array of subjects and education levels.
Whether students are interested in jump starting a new career or eventually earning a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution, Sacramento City College has the necessary courses. That's because the community college offers not only general education and career training programs (which lead to certificates), but transfer programs as well. By enrolling in a transfer program, students take courses that closely mirror the first and second years of a corresponding program at a traditional four-year college or university. This better prepares them for transfer into the latter institution.
From courses in accounting, chemistry, aeronautics, engineering, and gerontology, to classes in dental hygiene, cosmetology, music, railroad operations, and occupational therapy, there's sure to be a course that will interest you.
