For more than 80 years Paris Junior College has served as a comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning for the community of Paris, Texas. Since its creation in 1924, the community college has expanded from its 54-acre main campus in Paris to include campuses in both Sulphur Springs and Greenville, and courses taught at Texas A&M University - Commerce.
In order to better serve the needs of students, this Texas community college not only offers associate degree programs, but certificate courses and associate degree transfer programs as well. While certificate programs are available in areas such as accounting, welding, surgical technology, and medical records coding, associate degree programs are offered for subjects such as criminal justice, radiology technology, and computer information systems. Thanks to Paris Junior College's articulation agreements with various four-year universities and colleges in the region, students who are enrolled in the community college's associate degree transfer programs can more easily transfer their credits in order to pursue bachelor's degrees.

Paris Junior College has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college's associate degree in nursing program has also received accreditation from the National League of Nursing.
During the 2006-07 school year, more than 9,000 students were enrolled in Paris Junior College courses. As of the autumn semester of 2006, the community college employed more than 230 full-time faculty and staff members.
Students of this Texas community college participate in such athletics as men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, men's golf, baseball, and softball. Paris Junior College is also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Paris Junior College boasts the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology where students can learn the skills and knowledge necessary for succeeding in the gemology, watchmaking, and jewelry fields.
