As a comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning, Panola College in Texas has spent more than 50 years providing students of all ages with the education and training that they need to make their dreams come true. Along with associate degree programs in nursing, business, computer information systems, teaching, and office systems technology, this Texas community college offers certificate programs in such subjects as industrial technology, welding, office technology, and general business. Vocation training and preparation is also available for professions like cosmetology, health information technology, physical education, and the emergency medical services.
Students who are unable to attend class on campus, or who have tight schedules, may find it easier to enroll in one of Panola College's distance education courses. Currently, this Texas college offers online degree programs in general business, nursing, teaching, and office systems technology. In addition to its main campus in Carthage, this community college has four regional sites throughout the state. Depending on the center, citizens may enroll in anything from academic and vocational instruction to continuing education courses. Panola College also proudly offers free adult education classes at each of these locations.

At Panola College, students participate in such sports as baseball, volleyball, and basketball. The school also boasts a rodeo team, and is a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, competing against traditional four-year colleges and universities, as well as other community colleges.
As of the autumn of 2007, more than 1,800 students were enrolled in Panola College.
Students of this Texas community college enjoy such extracurricular clubs and organizations as Connections (the Computer Club), the Anime Club, Circle K International, the Panola Pipers, and the Media Club.
