The Oregon School of Massage, founded in 1984, is a comprehensive institution offering massage therapy programs leading to certification. A variety of massage training programs are available at the Oregon School of Massage. Among the programs at OSM are the eastern massage focus program, the western massage focus program, advanced certificate programs and more. Oregon School of Massage certificates include the maternity massage certificate, the sports massage certificate and more.
Each program offered at the Oregon School of Massage is comprised of an individual curriculum and hour schedule. Through the 302-hour shiatsu massage certificate program and the 555-hour program in western massage focus students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in areas such as health sciences, communication and ethics, hydrotherapy and much more.
The Oregon School of Massage offers two facilities in Ore. in Salem and Portland which provides added convenience for students. Each facility includes a massage clinic through which students can gain hands on experience in their field.
In addition to the comprehensive program and courses offered at the Oregon School of Massage, students can also take advantage of the numerous recreational, cultural and historical attractions in and around the city of Portland. The city is home to numerous museums, festivals, restaurants and much more. Students can enjoy attractions such as the Portland Japanese Garden, the Portland Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Craft and much more. Portland was also rated as North America's "Best Big City" by Money Magazine. Salem is also home to numerous attractions and offers many activities.
