The dark red buildings of Oklahoma City Community College have become a landmark in the southwestern section of Oklahoma City. Situated on a 143-acre site just south of Interstate 240 on South May Avenue, the College is easily accessible to the entire metropolitan Oklahoma City area. The distinctive architectural design of the buildings creates a positive environment for quality education.

Oklahoma City Community College traces its beginning to March 20, 1969. At that time, a committee of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce was organized to circulate petitions asking the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to take action to establish a junior college in the area.
The College has grown to serve more than 28,000 people each year. The College offers a full range of associate degree programs that prepare students to transfer to baccalaureate institutions.
