National Park Community College
Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas

National Park Community College is the result of a merger in 2003 between Garland County Community College and Quapaw Technical Institute. Both former institutions were established in 1973. As a result of this union, National Park Community College became a comprehensive Arkansas college, offering both a traditional academic education and career and technical training, which leads to diploma, certificate, and associate degree programs.

Now the fourth largest community college in the state of Arkansas, National Park Community College is home to about 4,000 students each semester. In addition, NPCC collaborates with universities across the state to provide access to four-year degrees through the University Center. Currently, five universities offer degrees on the NPCC campus or through distance learning in areas including Organizational Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Development, Applied Technology, Teaching, Nursing, and Mortuary Science (2 yr. degree).
