Marshalltown Community College was founded in 1927 and in 1966 it moved under the jurisdiction of Iowa Valley Community College District (IVCCD). Today, it continues to serve the students and residents of Marshall County and the surrounding area at its main campus in Marshalltown as well as its satellite center, Iowa Valley Grinnell, in Poweshiek County. A small enough college to offer personalized instruction but big enough to offer a wide variety of programs and activities, Marshalltown Community College is committed to providing its students with real direction and real success.

Marshalltown Community College has a wide range of programs of study. From associate degree programs, to career-technical diplomas and certificates, to non-credit courses, MCC prides itself on offering a quality educational experience to its students. Considering that the Marshalltown Community College education can be received at half the cost of the first two years at any of Iowa's four-year institutions, the investment in an MCC education is definitely worth it.
