Founded by the Felician Sisters of Livonia in 1937, Madonna University is an independent, coeducational, Catholic university. With an education philosophy founded on the Franciscan spirit, this Michigan Catholic university offers career-oriented majors with a liberal arts core and a focus on spiritual and personal development.
Students at Madonna University can choose from more than 75 undergraduate programs through the College of Arts and Humanities, the School of Business, the College of Social Sciences, the College of Education, the College of Nursing and Health, and the College of Science and Mathematics. Through the Graduate School, students can pursue a master's degree in more than 25 programs including business, education, and nursing.
Madonna University is a member of the NAIA, with five men's teams and six women's teams competing at the varsity level. Student life at Madonna University includes an active campus ministry, community service, a student government association, and various academic and special interest groups. In addition, students have access to academic advising, personal counseling, and conflict resolution services.
