Founded in 1833, Kalamazoo College is a private, four-year liberal arts college accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Kalamazoo College combines a rigorous academic program with one of the most highly regarded international study programs in the nation.

Students can pursue a bachelor's degree in more than 35 programs in fine arts, humanities, languages, social sciences, and natural sciences. The academic program is based on a nationally recognized curriculum called the "K Plan," which is comprised of four components: classroom courses, a Senior Individualized Project, optional study abroad programs, and internships. More than 50 study abroad programs are offered on six continents, and approximately 80 percent of Kalamazoo students participate. The study abroad program has been ranked #1 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Kalamazoo College is an NCAA Division III school, offering 16 men's and women's teams, including a men's tennis team that won its 70th consecutive MIAA conference championship in 2008. Students can participate in more than 35 student organizations. The campus is located 35 miles from Lake Michigan and 140 miles from Detroit and Chicago, and features a science center, student housing, student center, chapel, and athletic center.
