Jefferson Community and Technical College is comprehensive, two-year college that operates five campuses in the Kentucky area. The school offers a wide-range of academic and technical programs to prepare students to study for a four-year degree or to enter a career. Students may opt for an associate degree program, certificate program, or take non-credited courses through the school's continuing education department. As part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, Jefferson Community College students also have access to programs of study available on other community college campuses.
Jefferson Community and Technical College is large, offering more than academic and technical program options. Approximately one-third of the student body pursues a liberal arts program of study. Students looking to transfer to a four-year institution are invited to take advantage of the school's articulation agreements with local four-year colleges and universities. Students enrolled in any of Jefferson County Community College's Nursing or Allied Health Programs will find extra support when it comes to transferring to a larger institution. The HealthCareer Pathways program provides career assessment, counseling, career exploration activities, financial aid assistance, and help obtaining internships and cooperative learning positions.

Students of all majors and certificate programs will have access to free academic advising, transfer assistance, support for disabled students, career counseling, financial aid counseling, and English as a Second Language support. The Jefferson TRiO program provides additional academic and financial assistance for low-income, first-generation, and physically disabled students. To get new grads ready for the job market, Jefferson also provides internship search help available free of charge.
Jefferson County Community College also works to provide educational and economic support for the surrounding community. The school offers an extensive continuing education department designed with older learners in mind as well as customized training options for local businesses, workforce readiness programs, and professional development curricula.
