GateWay Community College is one of the 10 nationally accredited Maricopa County Community Colleges, and is a fully accredited, comprehensive institution emphasizing both academic and occupational programs. As the community continues to grow and as the demand for highly trained employees in a wide range of occupations rises, GateWay Community College must expand in order to meet the needs of the community and business and industry alike. With this, GateWay Community College is upgrading its programs and building upon an already successful campus.

GateWay Community College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Some of the programs offered under the accredidation are Nursing, Business, Environment, Industrial Technology and Healthcare.
GateWay Community College also has apprenticeship programs where students can learn from real-life experience. Similarly, the Workforce Development program also helps students transition from learners to workers. Eager high school students can enjoy learning in the Early College High School program. Finally, everyone can benefit from the Athletics program offered at GateWay Community College.
