Gary Manuel Aveda Institute - Seattle is located in the heart of Seattle's vibrant, hip and young Capitol Hill neighborhood. The Aveda Institute's curriculum includes theoretical knowledge, practical experience and professional business-building skills. Aveda students may take 1,600 hours of an extensive, hands-on cosmetology curriculum or 700 hours of an esthetics curriculum under the guidance of some of the world's top industry professionals.

An Instructor Training curriculum consists of 500 hours of in-depth training with industry-leading instructors to prepare licensed professionals for the state licensing examination as an instructor. Upon graduation and licensing, students will be qualified to teach cosmetology or esthetics full-time or part-time in a licensed school.

Gary Manuel Aveda Institute Seattle offers busy students the opportunity to study on FlexDays. With this course of study, students attend Institute classes 10 hours per day for three days then take the following four days off. The Hair Design (Cosmetology) program can be completed in just over a year this way and the Professional Skin Care (Esthetics) training in about five months. In addition, the optional FastTrack module provides students the ability to add an extra day as the program advances so they can complete their studies even faster.
