Empire State College, State University of New York (SUNY), is the largest liberal arts and sciences college in the SUNY system, serving more than 18,000 students a year through its 35 locations across New York state, plus worldwide through online study. Founded more than 30 years ago, the college offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees to adult students.
Individualized courses are available in the arts; cultural studies; historical studies; labor studies; and social theory, social structure and change; to courses in business, management, and economics; educational studies; human development; interdisciplinary studies; and science, mathematics, and technology.
Empire State College is a transfer-friendly institution that recognizes lifelong learning and doesn’t end when you leave a classroom. Students may earn college credits for the college-level learning they’ve gained in work and life. This is done by evaluating students’ work, knowledge, and the credentials they have earned during the course of their careers.
