DATS, LLC. Dental Assistant School's dental assistant program requires 72 hours of study, which include teaching students vocabulary used in the dental office, providing demonstrations of tasks performed, and letting students practice their skills. The dental assistant program courses include role of the dental assistant, the dental office, history of dentistry, head and tooth enamel, dental treatment specialists and insurance, tooth terminology, patient charts, basic instruments and equipment as well as study models, impressions, pouring, trimming and wax bites, radiology theory, safety and practice, darkroom, mounting and panorex, OSHA, HIV, infection control, sterilization, cements, liners and waxes and many more.
