Cox College of Nursing and Health Sciences is a private college, located in Springfield, Missouri. - Service to the community is important to Cox College of Nursing and Health Science. Students can participate in community service projects in Springfield and Southwest Missouri, such as reading to preschoolers, providing health screening throughout the public school system, or join the campus-wide annual community service project.
- Cox College's Nursing Resource Center allows students to apply their classroom knowledge and practice the skills needed as professional nurses in numerous health care environments. Under guidance and supervision, students gain enhanced learning through utilization of the labs, have access to current materials and equipment to support the variety of nursing programs, and partake in research and development projects. The center also has a media room, where students can view videos of nursing procedures, and the center also has an intravenous skills lab and two medication skills labs.
- Cox College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers an online RN refresher program to prepare inactive RNs to return to the practice of nursing. The program lasts 10 weeks and consists of review and updates of nursing knowledge and skills.
- Financial assistance is available through federal grants, federal work study, academic competitive grants, Access Missouri program, Missouri College Guarantee Program and the Marguerite Ross Barnett Memorial Scholarship.
